Termination

Following are the procedures and documents that are required for termination from the MM2H program and withdrawal of the remaining of the Fixed Deposit:-

Step 1: Submit the following documents for Fixed Deposit Withdrawal:-

  1. Letter of Intention to withdraw Fixed Deposit due to termination from the MM2H program.
  2. Copy of main applicant’s passport (personal details and MM2H Social visit pass page only)
  3. Copy of Conditional Approval Letter
  4. Copy of Fixed Deposit certificate

To complete this process, 3 working days from the submission of complete documents takes place.

Step 2: Termination of MM2H

a) The applicant and dependents must be present at the time of Immigration Department/State Immigration Department.

Extension

Change of Passport

a) The applicant must appear at the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

b) The following documents and payment should be brought by the applicant:-

  1. Letter of Intention by the Principal/Sponsor
  2. Copy of Approval Letter
  3. Form IMM. 12
  4. Form IMM. 55
  5. Original & Copy of Old & New passport for Applicant & Principal.

Renewal MM2h

Procedure of renewal of MM2H program after a 5 year period of time are as follows:

a) The applicant must be present at the Immigration Department of Malaysia or State Immigration Department as it issued the initial approval.
b) The following documents and payment should be brought by the applicant:-

  1. Letter of Intention by the Principal/Sponsor
  2. Original & Copy of Applicant’s Passport
  3. Form IMM. 55 (1 Copy)
  4. Form IMM. 38 (1 Copy, If Applicable)
  5. Current Proof of 3 months offshore Income RM10, 000 and above.
  6. Original & Copy of Fixed Deposit (If Applicable)
  7. Original & Copy of Confirmation Letter from Bank (If Applicable)
  8. Original & Copy of Conditional Approval Letter
  9. Original & Copy of Health Insurance
  10. Original Medical Report (RB 2 Form) ( Available at MM2H Immigration Unit)

Note: The renewal process takes approximately 7 days from the date of submission of all the needed documents.

Withdraw Fixed Deposit

MM2H participants are allowed to withdraw half of the fixed deposit only from the second year onwards for the expenses incurred in Malaysia such as to purchase a house and a car, for children’s education and medical purpose.

The following documents are required for Fixed Deposit Withdrawal:-

  • Letter of intention to withdraw Fixed Deposit Account.
  • Copy of MM2H visa.
  • Copy of Front page passport.
  • Copy of Fixed Deposit Certificate.
  • Copy proof of payment for residential property purchase (to submit of all pages of Sales & Purchase Agreement & receipt), Car purchase (to submit car grant title & receipt), Children’s education (to submit receipts), Medical expanses (to submit receipts).
  • Copy of Conditional Approval Letter.

This is to notify that the withdrawal is on a reimbursement basis and release of money will be based on the amount paid. Withdrawal of the  money can be made after the first year only and it will be effective from the date of the MM2H social visit pass. Also, if the applicant wants to withdraw the interest accrued on savings, then he/she has to indicate this in the letter of intention. All this process will take 3 working days from the date of the submission of the application.
